Cash & Contactless Payment

Dear Customers,

Due to a spate of burglaries, we have decided to move to a cashless payment system from Monday, 27th January.

This decision was a difficult one and came after four violent burglaries in two months, substantial loss of income and damage to our premises. Initially, we contemplated securing our beloved vending shed with a steel roller door and closing overnight operations. As the most recent burglary occurred in broad daylight, it became evident this would no longer be sufficient.

To prevent further losses and the risk of shutting down our operations altogether, our vending machine will:

Start transitioning to cash and contactless (PayWave) payment from Monday, 27th January. The machine will continue to accept cash until Monday, 10th February, so both Paywave and Cash payment options will be available until then.
From Monday, 10th February, PayWave payments will be the only option for purchasing Riverside milk. We will accept the following with Paywave options: Eftpos, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay.

We understand that this is a big change and may not be welcome by everyone. Please trust that this is the only viable option for us to keep operating. Though the police have been helpful, and some of the suspects have been apprehended (and given community service), most are still at large and presumably desperate enough to continue in targeting our small business.

As with all new big changes, we anticipate some hiccups along the way and appreciate your patience as we navigate this new terrain.
