Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you that our Riverside Milk Team and Riverside Community Trust Board are closely following advise from the Ministry of Health in regards to the new corona virus.

So far it is business as usual here, and our milk vending shed continues to be open and accessible to the public 24/7. However, we ask everyone to be mindful and to refrain from getting your milk personally if you are feeling unwell, have been in contact with anyone diagnosed with Covid-19 or are required to self-isolate, because you have only recently come back from overseas.

Now more than ever, cleanliness and following common sense hygiene protocols are crucial to protecting yourself and others from getting sick. Please wipe down all milk shed surfaces you have come into contact with with the provided paper towels and disinfectant spray. Practice social distancing where possible. This is in particular important, because many of our customers are elderly and potentially at risk of developing more serious symptoms from the novel virus - should it arrive in our region.

While the Riverside Milk Team is all for keeping it natural, wholesome and doesn't easily buy into panic over microorganisms, novel viruses are another thing all together, and we feel that our focus should now lay in doing everything humanly possible to protect vulnerable individuals until more research has been done on the virus's behaviour and treatment options.

Should it be necessary to close Riverside Milk operations, we will let you know via our Facebook Page or this website.
